	Who is SECNet? SECNet (www.secnet.com.au) is a locally owned and operated Internet Service Provider that has been servicing the people of Mt Gambier, the South East of South Australia, Western Victoria and with coverage to the rest of Australia with dialup internet access for the cost of a local call since January 2001. Over the past 5 years we have been developing a Fixed 2.4ghz Wireless Local Loop Network, to target both residential and business markets with speeds avaiable upto 50 times greater than traditional dialup services 40km LOS from our Access Points. This Technology allows us to offer a fast & efficient broadband services to users with speeds greater than DSL in locations that would not be able to get these services from existing providers due to the limitations of the technology being used by these large national carries & with customers in rural areas being forgotten about. In November 2002 SECNet applied to the ACA for a NCD Carrier Licence, this licence is required in Australia to be able to operate a Wireless Network for public use commercially. We were granted this NCD on the 30th of June 2003; this is quite an achievement for us as we are only one of a few ISP's who are able to offer these services on this scale in Australia today.
